About OpenClaudia

By Quanlai Li

OpenClaudia is an open-source community project that provides over 100 AI-powered marketing skills for coding agents like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and others. From SEO audits and blog writing to email campaigns and competitor analysis, OpenClaudia turns your terminal into a full-service creative and growth team. You can browse all available skills on our homepage to see the breadth of what is possible today.

Our Origin Story

OpenClaudia was born in early 2026, when a small group of developers and content creators realized that most AI tools were locked behind expensive SaaS dashboards. They asked a simple question: what if every professional could run world-class campaigns directly from the command line, without paying hundreds of dollars a month? The answer was a collection of modular, composable skills that plug straight into coding agents like Claude Code and Codex. Within weeks, the project attracted contributors from across the globe, and it has been growing ever since.

Why AI Tools Matter in 2026

The landscape of digital outreach and content production has changed dramatically. Audiences expect personalized, high-quality content delivered at scale, while budgets remain tight for indie hackers, solo founders, and small teams. AI-powered automation bridges that gap. OpenClaudia gives you the features you need to produce SEO-optimized articles, craft email sequences, analyze competitors, and generate ad copy without switching between a dozen different platforms. Everything happens in your terminal, right alongside your code.

How It Works with Coding Agents

OpenClaudia skills are designed to work with any AI coding agent. In Claude Code, they register as slash commands — type /audit-seo or /write-blog and the agent executes the corresponding skill end-to-end. In Codex and other agents, skills serve as structured prompts and workflows that guide the AI through complex marketing tasks. Skills can read your project files, call third-party APIs you have configured, and write output directly to disk. Because skills are plain Markdown files, you can inspect, customize, or compose them to fit your exact workflow and your agent of choice.

Open-Source Philosophy

Every skill in the OpenClaudia collection is released under the MIT license. That means you can use them in personal projects, commercial products, or enterprise pipelines with zero restrictions. We believe transparency builds trust: you can read every line of code, verify that no data leaves your machine, and contribute improvements back to the community. Pull requests, bug reports, and feature suggestions are all welcome on GitHub. We especially encourage contributions from people who are new to open source — the project is designed to be approachable.
